Barnes & Noble in Downtown Bellevue has announced that they will be leaving their current location and moving to Crossroads Mall. The store has been at 626 106th Avenue Northeast for the past 29 years.

According to a representative for Barnes & Noble, there is not an official closing date at this time, but the new location will open the day after the Downtown Bellevue location closes, to ensure a smooth transition.

They will be moving to Crossroads Mall in the fall. There is currently signage up to show that they will be coming soon.

Onni Group, a Canadian developer, bought the land that Barnes & Noble currently sits on in 2019 for $116 million. They are planning to construct a three-tower mixed-use project with each tower’s height at 600-feet tall. There will be two buildings that are residential with a hotel component and the other as a commercial office.

The project is planned to be 179,914 square feet in total, with 1,289 residences, 317 hotel suites, and 896,000 square feet of office space. Amenities include two swimming pools, a daycare, and guest suites. A food court is also planned in association with the office tower.
