Bellevue Rides Perimeter Shooting Over Pierce

Bellevue College men’s basketball put on a show from behind the three-point line and used their depth in a dominating 101-68 win over Pierce College last night in Steilacoom. The Bulldogs threw up a whopping 41 three-point goal attempts out of 71 total shots, draining 18 of them. The 44% shooting clip from long range allowed Bellevue to coast to a 55-34 halftime lead and never looked back.

Ben Oleson found his mark early and was 3-for-5 from outside the line and had four assists in the first half while Jett Briceno dumped in 10 points as well early on. Briceno finished the night leading the team with 15 points while Oleson and Aydan Janssan had 13 apiece. Maui Sze also had a solid effort with complete game with 12 points, and team highs of seven rebounds and assists. In total, Head Coach Donald Brady used 11 players who all gave strong contributions.

Bellevue is now 2-1 overall.
