Bulldogs Shooting On Fire Again In 103-79 Win

Bellevue College men’s basketball put on another offensive proficiency display as the ‘dogs shot a blistering 67% from the field in the first half en route to a 103-79 win at Centralia tonight. Nearly everything Bellevue threw up was going in as Bishop Tosi and Jett Briceno led the way in the first half shooting 9-for-12 together as BC put up 51 points.

The Trail Blazers were in the game, down 31-26 with 7:11 to go in the first half. For the next four minutes, Bellevue’s offense caught fire as they extended the lead to 14 at 45-31 with 3:05 left. Three-pointers by Tosi, Maui Sze, and a thunderous dunk by freshman Aydan Janssan gave Bellevue the spark to close out the half.

Although the Bulldogs cooled down to a 47% shooting clip in the second half, the ‘dogs still managed to put up even more points as they netted 52 points led by Briceno and Sze firing from long range, as both made three three-pointers and scored 12 and 11 points respectively.

Briceno ended the night with 22 points while Sze had 17 and 8 assists. The passing game was evident as the ‘dogs had 28 assists spread out among nine different players. Nate Johnson again anchored down under with a team-high 11 rebounds.

The Bulldogs are riding a four game win streak and are now 5-1. They host the Bulldog Classic this weekend with an opening game Friday December 10 at 7:00 p.m. vs. Chemeketa.
