Explore Bellevue at the Lake to Lake Bike Ride

Routes for different skill levels and free kids ride

The ninth annual Lake to Lake Bike Ride on Saturday, June 11 will provide riders of all levels and abilities with an opportunity to experience Bellevue by bicycle. Riders can choose between three different routes — a mostly flat, nine-mile loop perfect for families and/or less experienced cyclists, a more challenging 24-mile loop with some climbs and a free ride for kids in the park.

To register, visit BellevueWA.gov/bike-ride or call 425-452-6885. Space is limited, so preregistration is recommended. Pending availability, on-site registration will take place 8-9 a.m. at the event.

Both rides for cyclists nine years and older will start between 9 and 10 a.m. at Robinswood Park, 14915 SE 22nd St. Terrain on both routes includes low-traffic roads, bike lanes and gravel trails. The course will be well-marked and supported by staff and volunteers until noon. The kids ride, for riders three through eight years of age, will start at 12:15 p.m.

All road and trail riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on the eight- and 24-mile rides. Neither route is suggested for children under nine years old, unless riding in a trailer or tag-along.

The event will feature random drawings for prizes, refreshments and freebies for all participants. All riders in the kids ride will receive a prize.

The cost is $15 per rider with preregistration, and $20 per rider on the day of event. Register day of event for the kids ride. Proceeds will benefit the City of Bellevue Youth Camp Scholarship Fund to help make healthy and fun recreation accessible to all kids.

Overlake Medical Center and Crossroads Bellevue are the title sponsors. REI is an event sponsor. Supporting sponsors include: Choose Your Way Bellevue, Gregg’s Bellevue, QFC, Kate’s Real Food and WheelLab.
