Men’s Basketball Cruises Past Columbia Basin

Bellevue College men’s basketball shot nearly 50% from the floor and had strong rebounding which led to an easy 84-65 win today over Columbia Basin, played at Walla Walla. The Bulldogs scored 42 points in both halves and held consistent shooting hands throughout the entire game. Although Columbia Basin was within four to six point for much of the first half, the ‘dogs had a breakthrough moment in the second half    up 59-48, Bellevue stretched the lead to 18 at the 6:51 mark on a three-pointer by Maui Sze. From there the ‘dogs coasted to victory.

Sze led BC with 20 points on 7-for-14 shooting, and led the team in three-point goals draining 4-of-9. Bishop Tosi, who was entered into the starting lineup tonight, was extremely efficient on 5-for-8 shooting and was 3-for-3 from the line for 14 points. Tosi also had four rebounds and two assists while committing only one turnover and foul all game. Nate Johnson had 11 boards and chipped in 13 ponts. Another strong offense-defense combo was given by Australian Aydan Janssan who came off the bench and delivered 11 points and seven rebounds.

Bellevue is now 3-1 on the year and will play host Walla Walla tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.
