Men’s Tennis Split Matches With Four-Year Schools

Bellevue College men’s tennis opened up the 2022 campaign under first-year Head Coach Micah Perron in strong fashion with a 6-3 win on Friday over Willamette and a close  5-4 loss to Linfield on Saturday.

In the Friday win, it was a sweep in singles play seeds one through four as Dario Ristovski took home #1 singles in dominant fashion (6-1, 6-0), Kyle Nget won #2 singles (4-6, 6-0, 1-0), Tyler Gettman #3 singles (6-0, 6-0), and Emmanuel Nguyen #4 singles (4-6, 7-6, 1-0). Alistair Jones and Tyeer Houser were the lone doubles winner for BC taking home #3 doubles 8-2.

In Saturday’s matches, BC’s Ristovski won #1 singles (6-3, 6-3), #3 singles (Gettman 6-4, 3-6, 10-3), and #6 singles (Houser 6-2, 6-4). Ristovski teamed with Nget to win #1 doubles 4-2.

BC will travel to Tacoma on Sunday February 27 for their next matches; another non-conference four-year opponent, the University of Puget Sound.
