Bulldogs Fall To Everett

Bellevue College women’s basketball fell 59-40 tonight to visiting Everett at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. The Bulldogs played a fairly even first quarter before losing momentum in the pivotal second quarter as Everett outscored BC 20-7 to take a 35-19 lead into the locker room.  Everett went on a 7-0 run a minute into the second quarter then exploded for an 11-0 run just prior to halftime.

In the third quarter, Everett continued the stretch by going up 43-19 with two three-pointers from long range. Bellevue finally got on the board with a layup by Jalena Henry at the 5:41 mark to make it 43-21.

Bellevue could get no closer than 15 in the fourth. Brianna Byrnes and Henry had 10 points for Bellevue. The ‘dogs are now 0-2 in North Region play and 3-6 overall. They travel to Skagit Valley next Wednesday January 26.
