Overnight Closures Next Week On Northbound I-405 In Bellevue

BELLEVUE, WA — Drivers with late-night travel plans will want to plan ahead for three overnight closures next week of the northbound lanes of Interstate 405 near Main Street in Bellevue. The latest closures will give contractors time to set new girders on the east side of the new Main Street Bridge, which is being replaced to facilitate widening the freeway between Renton and Bellevue.

The Washington State Department of Transportation demolished the old bridge in June and estimated it could take up to five months to complete construction on the new structure.

Here are the travel impacts scheduled next week, via WSDOT:

  • Monday, Aug. 8, to the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 9 – All lanes of northbound I-405 between Southeast Eighth Street and Northeast Fourth Street will be closed from 11 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 9, to the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 10 – All lanes of northbound I-405 between Southeast Eighth Street and Northeast Fourth Street will be closed from 11 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 10, to the morning of Thursday, Aug. 11 – All lanes of northbound I-405 between Southeast Eighth Street and Northeast Fourth Street will be closed from 11 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
