Bellevue to Host Rock ’N’ Roll Running Event for First Time

For the first time ever, the Rock ’n’ Roll Washington running event will be taking place in Bellevue. Taking place on September 3rd and 4th, the kids run, 5K and half marathon will be over Labor Day weekend.

Live musical acts will be stationed throughout the half marathon course and will feature a diverse mix of local and regional talent. There are also 5k and kids’ running events that start and end at the event headquarters in Downtown Park.

Race organizers have outlined the various road closures and detours that will be required to keep runners and spectators safe during the weekend.

According to the City of Bellevue, the 5K starts at 7am Saturday and the half marathon starts at 6:30am Sunday. The running events should finish by noon each day. Bellevue police and transportation staff will be monitoring the entire event to ensure safety for all participants and spectators in the course are of the weekend.
