A new semi-professional soccer team is based in the city of Bellevue. Their plan is to have a large presence in the city to eventually grow to a professional status. The team name is Bellevue Athletic FC.

The team will be playing in the United Premier Soccer League. There are six other UPSL teams in the district area which they will be playing against. These teams include two that are based out of Portland, Oregon, and others that are localized around the Greater Seattle area.

Home games will be held at Bellevue High School Stadium. They will begin competing at the end of March through the end of June. If they make playoffs, games will go into July. They will also have a fall season.

Open tryouts were held on February 12th and 13th, and callbacks happened recently on February 17th. The squad list went live on February 20th.

The founders of Bellevue Athletic, FC are Anastacio and Laura Rivera. They formed this team with the belief that there is an untapped talent pool in the Greater Seattle area that is lacking opportunities at the professional level. They are working to fill the gap and provide a pathway to high-level professional leagues.

The technical staff includes Head Coach Darrel Marcell, who is a former Trinidad and Tobago youth national team member and a NCAA Division 1 player, three Assistant Coaches, Player Performance Analyst, and a Strength and Conditioning Coach.

We will update the article with a soccer game schedule once that information goes live.
