Man found dead in Auburn park in an apparent homicide

On Wednesday, Feb. 23 at around 6 p.m. Auburn police were dispatched to Veterans Memorial park to investigate reports of shots fired.

When the officers arrived they found a deceased man in the park, according to the Auburn Police Department.

As of Feb. 23, the police are investigating this as a possible homicide, there are no suspects in custody, according to the Auburn Police Department.

This is Auburn’s third homicide of 2022, according to the city’s crime tracker.
