Seattle, Eastside Restaurants Nab 2022 Wine Spectator Awards

SEATTLE — A robust group of Puget Sound restaurants was among more than 3,000 U.S. eateries recognized for excellence this month by the internationally renowned publication Wine Spectator. Since 1981, Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Awards assess the quality of wine selections at establishments across America and dozens of countries worldwide, sorting the very best among three quality tiers.

Nearly two dozen Seattle-area restaurants made Wine Spectator’s 2022 list, including three in the Emerald City that received the highest designation, joining just 94 others across the nation. Restaurants in Bellevue, Kirkland and Woodinville rounded out the region’s award-winners.

“I want to congratulate all 3,169 restaurants that earned one of Wine Spectator’s three awards for their devotion to all things wine,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Wine Spectator’s editor and publisher. “These awards not only guide our readers to dining establishments with impressive wine lists and outstanding service, but also serve to honor restaurants for their achievements and commitment to maintaining pristine cellars.”
